About the Session

Our oceans are a source of life, sustenance, and abundance, but they face an ever-increasing myriad of issues such as over-fishing, pollution, acidification, rising waters, ghost nets, and more. As a main source of life on earth, the ocean feeds billions and acts as an important regulator for our climate. Yet in spite of the seemingly overwhelming problems it faces, it also holds many of the solutions we need. How can we use technology to help restore the oceans to health, what are the challenges we face and what are the breakthrough technologies that will help us leave a healthy and flourishing ocean for future generations?
