Alexis Hoffman is a Data Scientist at Jupiter Intelligence, a climate risk analytics company. She graduated with her PhD in Atmospheric Science and her research focused on statistical crop modeling to isolate and understand the impact of climate on yields in Sub-Saharan Africa and the central United States. While at Jupiter, she has worked on a number of projects including development of a flexible statistical workflow for extreme value analysis and contributions to both the operational and global fire products.
It has become increasingly important to develop sustainable agriculture systems. From indoor farming to geospatial analysis to optimize farming operations, innovation in the AgTech sector will play a key role both in addressing climate challenges and ensuring proper access to food.
