The transition to a low-carbon transportation system can and must be dramatically accelerated. At Marain, I am working to make this happen by building deeply featured, high performance simulation, analysis, and operational control software for stakeholders in the electric, autonomous, on-demand mobility sector. I previously led the development of the open source BEAM Framework (Behavior, Energy, Autonomy, and Mobility http://beam.lbl.gov/) at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. I continue to contribute to BEAM and advise on the project as an affiliate of Berkeley Lab.
With the history of transportation contributing to energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, developing sustainable methods of transport is crucial in addressing climate change. As populations rise and urban areas grow, we must direct more attention toward fostering greater mobility and accessible transit systems.
