Ersin Uzun is the General Manager of the IoT Global Business Unit and Digital New Ventures at PARC. His organization is responsible for turning ideas, science and technology developed at PARC and in the global innovation ecosystem into fast-growing new businesses via incubation, M&A and partnerships.
In his previous roles, Ersin led Computer Science and System Science Labs of PARC as well as its renowned innovation service offerings such as rapid prototyping and user-needs research. Before joining PARC, Ersin held innovation and research positions at Nokia Research Center, HP Labs, INRIA, Ericsson and was also a co-founder and board member of various technology startups.
Ersin received his Ph.D. and M.S. degrees from UC Irvine. He is the author of over 120 patents and peer-reviewed publications and been a member of the scientific advisory and review boards of U.S. National Science Foundation, Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation, and Research Council of Canada.
